It’s official — Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive!
Congratulations are definitely in order! It was just announced that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the Sexiest Man Alive for 2016. As you probably know, this is a huge annual honor put out by People magazine, and it’s truly a win-win situation for all — not only does each year’s winner get an incredible cover photo and interview, but we, the people, get to look at that incredible cover photo and interview.
Johnson has had quite the career since the WWE — this year, his voice will be featured in the much-anticipated Disney film Moana, but he’ll be in a few guaranteed blockbusters next year, like Fast 8 and the reboot to Jumanji, as well.
Just take a look at the cover of his upcoming issue:
Sweet, smart, and sculpted? Yes, we can totally believe that. And, we can add sense of humor as well — while Johnson seems honored, he’s definitely making us laugh on Twitter about how he got crowned.

In his interview, he was still in disbelief after being chosen. After all, he’s following the footsteps of other sexy men like David Beckham, Chris Hemsworth, and Adam Levine.
"Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle," he said to People. "I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it."
Johnson has been in the news quite a lot recently. Just the other day, it was reported that he would entertain a future run for President, and a few months ago, he was named the highest-paid actor of the year.
So, while 2016 hasn’t been good for some, it’s been pretty fantastic for The Rock. And, we’re pretty proud of him. He’s definitely come a long way in all these years!
