Item Of The Day: Sad Keanu 3D Print

Love the Sad Keanu meme? Annoyed that you can’t peruse the Sad Keanu tumblr 24/7 because sometimes you have to look away from your computer screen for a minute because staring at a computer screen for too long is bad for your vision? Well, now you can just print this little sucker up, put him on your desk and let your screensaver roll! I present to you, the Sad Keanu 3D print!

My coworker brought one of these in the other day. I was so excited that I stole it, posed all my desk toys around it and started taking pictures, just like I used to do with my toys back in elementary school. I’m sure my mother loved finding that, much to her surprise; she had just paid to print up a roll of mostly doll portraits. Basically, I’m saying that if you bring a little Sad Keanu statue to work, you’re sure to attract the office’s most esteemed doll photographers!

In person, these little 3D Keanu prints feel somewhat delicate, as you would assume given his emotional state, but they are actually quite sturdy. What is a 3D print? Well it’s exactly what it sounds like: A printer that allows you to design a 3D model on your computer and then print that model using tangible materials. My favorite thing about 3D printing is that it is yet another example of scientists inventing things they used to nerd out about while watching Star Trek. Well done, guys. I know I’ve been pushing pretty hard on the whole teleportation thing but because we are now one step closer to a fully operational replicator, I will leave you alone… FOR NOW.
