Item of the Day: LashFood
Awards season is here at last and for some of us it’s like Christmas and a birthday all rolled into one. Our favorite famous ladies strut across red carpets in fabulous gowns, dresses, and pant-dress hybrids (looking at you, Emma Watson). Once we’ve chosen the most gorgeous gals and the most heinous offenders of fashion, our attentions turn to hair and makeup.
Despite not having an occasion to get all dressed up for, and no dress to not go there in, you can always play with makeup! For me, it’s all about the eyes and as a great woman once said, “the eyes are the nipples of the face.” So how do you make those babies pop without looking too garish?
Two of my favorite trends that still looked natural were bold brows and big lashes. Just take a look at Sarah Hyland.
Not only is her hair milkmaid adorable, but those brows are basically to die for.
Another personal favorite was our girl Zooey, the undisputed queen of big eyes.
And check out Margo and Lupita’s awesome brows.
And finally, Michelle Dockery’s garden of lashes are just beautiful.
But some of us aren’t blessed with the base level of fluffy brows and lashes needed to whip these looks into shape. And sometimes penciling in your brows and using false lashes just doesn’t look like you. Or it does, but you know you’re going to have to wash your face and those painstakingly sculpted brows will get washed right down the drain. Like flushing a Picasso down the toilet!
That’s why I was thrilled to discover LashFood, since it helps out right from the get-go – nurturing your natural gifts. Like the Ecocert certified LashFood Phyto-Medic Natural Eyelash Enhancer, which is a lash serum that lengthens, darkens and strengthens lashes.
And then there’s the LashFood’s Phyto-Medic Natural Eyebrow Enhancer, because we all fall victim to a bad wax job occasionally . My entire junior year of college was ruined when I decided to get my brows waxed before getting an ID photo taken. Every time I pulled out that ID I was forced to relive the horror of my overly-waxed brows and thoroughly burned skin. I wish I’d had something like the Eyebrow Enhancer to help speed up the regrowth process.
LashFood is a great alternative to salon treatments because personally I hate the idea of people putting chemicals and pointy tools near my eyeballs. I think a good intro to the LashFood family would be the LashFood Lash Transformation System. You get the Phyto-Medic Natural Eyelash Enhancer, a two-piece mascara set for lengthening lashes, a smudge-proof/waterproof eyeliner and makeup remover.
For a New Year’s resolution that’s way easier than exercise or learning to play the piano, try feeding your face! It’s the first impression you make when you meet someone new, so make it your brightest and best.
