Item of the Day: Kate Spade ‘Metro’ Patterned Dial Watch

To be honest, I’ve never really spent a lot of money on jewelry before. I have a couple staple pieces and chunky necklaces I found on sale at Macy’s, but I’m not huge on accessories. But I desperately needed a good watch. The ones I buy from Target are great, but the fabric becomes easily worn, and I end up replacing them every few months. I know I have my phone, but when I’m dashing from classroom to classroom for work or school, I don’t really have time to open my purse, find the pocket where my phone is, take it out, type in my password, and finally discover that I’m running late. I need to know the time like right now.

So, I splurged and bought a Kate Spade watch. And I have no regrets. It’s one of the most gorgeous things I own, and it’s practical! Instead of numbers, there are polka dots, which I think is adorable. Also, if you’re like me, and have abnormally tiny wrists, this watch is perfect, because it allows you to tighten it so it doesn’t hang off your arm like a bangle. Plus, it goes with everything, and it’s not flashy. So many “nice” watches are just way too flash for me, so I was super happy to find this one. It’s classy, playful, and let’s me know the time.

I ordered mine at Nordstrom (just in case it didn’t fit); they’re awesome about returns.
