Issa Rae just shared the best announcement from the “Insecure” Season 2 writer’s room

We’ve all expressed how much we absolutely adored Issa Rae’s Insecure this season. And word on the street is that we can expect the same thoughtful comedy in season two! With all of its cultural relevancy, and remarkable portrayals of normal, black lives, Insecure has impacted its viewers way more than the creators will ever know.

A second season is highly anticipated, especially after how last night’s finale ended. We seriously can’t wait to witness what comes of Issa, Lawrence and Daniel’s love triangle. And if that doesn’t make you anxious enough for the next season, we’ll also be seeing more of Issa’s other BFF Kelli and her life’s shenanigans, too!

Issa Rae shared a tell-all Instagram post today, letting fans of the show know that the crew is hard at work on season two!

President of HBO Programming Casey Bloys also shared with Deadline that “no major changes have been made” to the writer’s room, either! We can all look forward to more of the same inclusive storylines, and that’s so refreshing.

We were seriously so impressed with Insecure this fall. And it makes us so happy that we can expect even more greatness from it in the future.
