Isla Fisher isn’t working with a stylist and we totally get why she’s rocking it solo
The Wedding Crashers and Nocturnal Animals star, Isla Fisher, isn’t working with a stylist, and we love that she’s going solo for awards season. When Fisher stepped out at the 6th Annual AACTA International Awards on Friday she looked flawless, and it’s all her.
When walking the red carpet in a glamorous Monique Lhuillier gown, she revealed that she is in fact her own stylist these days and we’re so impressed.
“I’m not working with a stylist right now. So I chose it myself,” Fisher told Fisher told People about her about her bold yellow dress choice.
"I think stylists are wonderful," she continued. "When things come up at the last minute and you're in a rush, sometimes you just pull a dress. I've got a lot of responsibilities, and my career is just a part of a whole big puzzle."
After revealing that she’s “going rogue” on the red carpet this season — or at least right now — the Nocturnal Animals star got real about life without a style helper.
“My stylists in the past have been wonderful and reminded me whether or not to cross your legs, whether to put a hand on your hip,” the mother of three explained.
"But whatever you're told, obviously in the moments pre-the ceremony, when you get out of the car and there's a line of photographers shouting your name, you just tend to go rogue and do absolutely anything and then look back and regret it," she added.
In addition to being happy with her own dress choice for the night, Fisher revealed her girls were fans as well…sort of.
“I think the quote was, ‘Mommy you look like a banana tonight.’ I mean, I’ll take anything,” the 40-year-old actress joked.
Banana or not, we love Fisher’s fabulous gown choice. Just look at the flower detailing and gorgeous train — it’s ah-mazing.
