“InStyle” made a magical Golden Globes elevator for their after party, and these stars had too much fun with it
The Golden Globes on Sunday night were a fabulous evening of great fashion and memorable moments. In fact, this year’s Golden Globes saw a rise in their TV ratings this year, which is always welcome news. But the fun didn’t stop when the last award was presented. After the ceremony, stars attended a variety of fabulous after parties to keep the good vibes rolling.
InStyle Magazine threw one of the most popular parties of the night, in fact. To get to the fabulous soirée, celebs entered through a magical elevator. The result was a perfectly Instagram worthy series of videos from celebs like Lily Collins and Laverne Cox. And some of them made quite an entrance. Here are some of our favorite of the fabulous elevator entrances.
1Janelle Monáe perfectly owned her moment to vogue to the beat.
We don’t blame Janelle for celebrating, because one of her films this year, Moonlight, won the award for best drama. Janelle even changed from her red carpet dress into this fierce black and white pantsuit for better dancing ability.
2Laverne Cox narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction.
We love that stars were having fun with the elevator. And OMG can that fabulous lady work a fan. Totally flawless.
3Heidi Klum got some dancing lessons from the bellhop.
And now he’s totally smitten. And who wouldn’t be? Heidi definitely knows how to waltz with style, even in the tiniest of elevators.
4Lily Collins gets caught admiring herself in her totally fabulous rosy dress
If we were wearing a dress like that, we would be showing it off all night too. Lily looks totally stunning, and she clearly feels like a princess. If you’re working it that hard, you might as well flaunt it, right?
5Priyanka Chopra and Sofia Vergara got a little tangled up on their elevator ride.
These ladies might take home the award for best acting in an elevator as they dramatically try to get unstuck from one another’s dresses. Naturally, they recovered flawlessly enough to pose for the elevator cam.
6Stars like Sarah Hyland and Dom Sherwood got caught getting steamy in the elevator.
We don’t blame them. An elevator offers a perfect opportunity for a little alone time before you hit the party.
7Young Millie Bobby Brown needed a little nap before party time.
She does make an adorable Sleeping Beauty. And even while lying on the floor of an elevator, she looks totally chic.
8Millie’s fellow Stranger Things stars found romance in a way we did not expect.
Much to Natalie Dyer’s (Nancy’s) surprise, Charlie Heaton (Jonathan) and Joe Keery (Steve) lock eyes and kiss. Suddenly, she feels like the third wheel, and she does the right thing by getting out of there. Of the many adorable kisses from this year’s Golden Globes, this may be our favorite.
9Julianne Hough wins the award for best slo-mo work in her stunning dress.
That dress is so perfect for twirling, we can’t even handle it.
10And last but certainly most fabulous, Tracy Ellis Ross can’t do anything but dance as she celebrates her epic win.
Tracy is pure gold as she shows off her Golden Globe, which she won for Best Actress in a Television Comedy. We wish we could say we’re as excited as she is, but we’re not sure that’s possible.
These fabulous parties were a great way to celebrate an awesome year in film and TV. We hope that everyone had a blast. And that no one got stuck in that elevator!
