Instagram’s neon eyeliner trend will make you feel like the star of an ’80s music video
Put down your black or brown pencils, because the neon eyeliner trend that is taking over Instagram will have you feeling like you’re living on video in the heyday of MTV. Neon is no new thing, but these pops of color are definitely giving the basic cat-eye fresh feels. With the advent of palettes like Kat Von D’s Pastel Goth and Urban Decay’s Electric Pressed Pigment, it has never been easier to find a bright color that speaks to you.
In addition to using bright shadows with a fine line brush, many companies are now also producing neon liquid liners. NYX Cosmetics, Urban Decay, and MakeupGeek all have bright liners. Marc Jacobs Beauty came out with a brand-new collection featuring electrifying liners. Also, a white liner on top of everything creates a magical neon glow. We love the NYX eye pencil in Milk for this!
