This ultra exclusive vacation resort has “Instagram butlers,” because 2017 is 100% bonkers

2017 will go down in history as the year that shall not be named. The president is bizarre. Hollywood’s harassment culture has been blown wide open. Three Kardashians are pregnant. And now hotels have a thing called “Instagram butlers,” because the world might be ending soon, but might as well document it all on your IG stories. ?

At the ultra-luxury Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort, there are staffers whose sole job is to take great Instagram photos of guests.

The resort also implemented an “Instagram trail,” which is a walking path around the resort “with knowledgeable team members helping guests to discover the most picturesque locations.”

They even have yoga classes that promise the most photographable poses.

“Guests can tee up their tour with a yoga class directed by the resort’s resident yogi where they will be taught the best poses to capture on camera set against a myriad of ocean hues,” the resort announced in a press release.

It seems like the Instagram butlers are just really good iPhone photographers.

"For photographers hoping to capture the magical 'golden hour', a term used to describe the period shortly after sunrise or before sunset, the 'Instagram Butler' will teach guests how to perfect that dream shot, with factors such as the optimum time of day and the best position to pinpoint their phones or cameras taken into consideration," adds the resort.

We may as well call this place the world’s first Instagram resort.

The Maldives is a South Asian island off the coast of India. We just did a quick flight calculator and to get there from Los Angeles is a thirty-hour flight, with airfare starting at $1000. So basically, if you can afford to get there, you probably have a very Instagrammable life to begin with.
