This Korean skin care brand relaunched with an ingredient that took a whole decade to source
We can spend days talking about the benefits of green tea—both for your digestive system and for your skin. The natural antioxidant can be quite a powerful anti-aging ingredient, and its antibacterial properties work wonders on oily skin and clogged pores. So it’s no surprise that many brands, like Korean skin care brand Innisfree, choose green tea as a hero ingredient, time and time again.
Innisfree‘s Green Tea line has long been its star franchise, which is why we were surprised to learn that as of this week, the entire line has been reformulated with a new type of green tea. The new ingredient, found on Jeju Island, took 10 years to source (yes, really, a whole decade!) and was chosen out of 2,401 varieties.
The brand studied all of those types of green tea over the last 10 years and chose the one that they found to contain the most skin benefits. And that’s not all—Innisfree is also launching some brand new products that contain the new green tea formula.
