This indie artist teamed up with Vans for a beauty-themed collection, and we are swooning
Streetwear isn’t just for the boys. Vans latest collab is a celebration of art and beauty, and we’re 100% here for it.
Artist Kendra Dandy looks to the beauty industry to inspire some of her illustrations. Scroll through her IG feed and you’ll see work inspired by Pat McGrath and drawings created with mascara.
Kendra Dandy and Vans have collaborated on a capsule collection for spring 2017, and we couldn’t be happier. The lighthearted collection is just what we need for the warmer months, plus it’s nice to see brands shake things up. (No shade, but we can definitely use a break from the influencer-brand collabs we’re seeing every other day.)
Vans x Kendra Dandy celebrates all things beauty with prints featuring fleeky brows, glammed up sunny side up eggs, and red pouts with ice cream cones.

The capsule collection includes three versions of the Vans Authentic sneaker ($65 each), backpacks ($40 to $56), hats ($22 to $30), sweatshirts ($44.50 to $49.50), tees ($29.50), tanks ($29.50), socks ($12 to $15), pouches ($14) and patches ($14).
We spoke with Kendra about her illustrations and what inspired her designs. She said:
"I base a lot of my designs in general on pop art, '60s, beauty and food, and I think this collaboration with Vans shows that."
