The first “Incredibles 2” teaser is the most-viewed animated trailer ever, because we’ve clearly been waiting for something amazing
It’s been 13 long, long years since the OG Incredibles, but it FINALLY arrived. The Incredibles 2 trailer was released! And obvs, every Disney and Pixar fan on the planet has been holding their breath and dying of anticipation. So it makes total sense that it quickly became the most viewed trailer ever for an animated film. It also garnered the seventh most views of any movie trailer ever with ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTEEN MILLION VIEWS.
We’re behind at least one million of those views, but even still, that’s a pretty ~incredible~ number.
The teaser trailer premiered on Saturday’s College GameDay, and was the first peek we got at the upcoming sequel. Since we’ve been waiting for this movie since 2004 — we were, like, 12 — you could say the anticipation was pretty high.
As we see in the trailer, Incredibles 2 will pick up exactly where the first film left off. This def means we’re going to need a rewatch, since it’s been a minute since we saw the original.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows…
It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again — which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

TBH, it doesn’t really even matter what’s going on in this sequel. Okay, okay, it does, but the point is we’re super excited to revisit these characters and this world, both of which we loved and missed so, so much!
