If you work out and don’t Snapchat it, does it still count? Kim Kardashian has some thoughts on the matter

We all know that at least half the fun of going to the gym is putting on a cute workout outfit and Snapchatting about your hard work and #fitnessgoals. It’s fun to brag about your new 5k time or how much you can bench on social media, but we can quickly get into the habit of thinking that if we don’t post our workout on Snapchat, it basically doesn’t count. Or we can think that just because someone never posts about their workouts, that they’re never hitting the elliptical.

The Kardashians know this feeling all too well. A huge part of Khloé and Kourtney’s brands is built on how much they value physical fitness. Khloé even has a new, (slightly problematic) show called Revenge Body, based solely on upping your gym game publicly in the wake of a breakup. But as much as Kim’s body is a focal point of her celebrity, we rarely get a glimpse of how she makes that body happen. Kim took to Snapchat this weekend to post a vid of her and Khloé working out, and to remind us of a crucial point about social media: it doesn’t tell the whole story.

“So I never Snapchat my workouts and I don’t know why. I’m just not Kourtney and Khloe,” Kim said. “But I work out but it’s like, if I don’t snap it, then it’s as if it never happened. But I work out every single day for over an hour.” So, chill, haters.

Of course, it’s not like anyone thinks Kim doesn’t work out. She posted a gym pic back in March, and she’s been vocal about her 70-pound weight loss journey after giving birth to Saint West. But still it’s nice to be reminded that we can enjoy exercise and the fruits of our labor without letting everyone know what we’re doing. Unlike, of course, going to out to dinner. (We kid, we kid.)

So there we have it. Kim works out for more than hour each day, whether she’s playing with Snapchat filters or not.
