Are you ready for some super-sweet news? Because The Vampire Diaries‘ Ian Somerhalder married Nikki Reed over the weekend, and based on the photos, it looks like an unforgettable day.

The couple wed in an intimate ceremony on Sunday at sunset, E! Online reports, after dating for nine months. They got engaged back in January and have been inseparable ever since, adopting animals from cats to horses together, starting a production company, and collaborating for charitable work. Power couple alert!

TVD fans around the world are rejoicing over the chance to see Ian so happy. And let’s face it: Vampire Diaries fans deserve something happy and wonderful and joyous to fangirl out about. It has been a rough few weeks for the fandom since news broke that Nina Dobrev is leaving The Vampire Diaries after this season, but thanks to this super-exciting news, we can spend our time celebrating Ian and Nikki’s love instead of predicting the heartbreak Elena will cause once she leaves Mystic Falls for good.
