How to solve the iOS bug, just in case your iMessage crashes

Just as Apple figured out how to get rid of that annoying question mark box, it seems another glitch has popped up — and it might be worse than the last one. Apparently, an Italian mobile blog has discovered that sending a certain character can crash your apps, including iMessage. And if you’re not into the idea of losing the important stuff on your phone, you’re probably wondering how to solve the iOS bug. So far, it seems like there’s one fix.
According to The Verge, it’s easy to fix your phone if this happens to you…as long as you know what to do. You just have to have someone else send you a message, which will then give you the opportunity to open up the app and try to delete the message that included the character — before it shuts down on you again. You’re definitely going to want to work fast, but hopefully you’ll be able to get back into your texts like nothing happened.
The big problem with this bug is the fact that it makes certain apps (like Safari) impossible to access.
And honestly, we can’t believe that this is even possible, but that’s technology, right?
Of course, you can also avoid even sending the character altogether (although accidents definitely happen). It’s one of the Indian language characters, so as long as you don’t try to use the Telgu language, you should be all set. To date, it seems like that’s the only way this bug is getting through. Our fingers are crossed that this isn’t the beginning of a bigger problem.
Good luck out there. Life without iMessage is a life that none of us should be subjected to.
