How P!NK Became My Life Coach!
Alecia Beth Moore the rockstar and mommy – more popularly known as P!NK, has officially done it again. According to Billboard, P!NK’s sixth studio album may debut at the top of the chart but that’s NOT what we’re here to talk about.
I love how genuinely happy she seems these days and I love, love, LOVE how she interacts with Willow. She does a fantastic job at balancing the roles. However, while listening to the album, you can’t help but think about the period of separation she went through with husband Carey Hart and what this album truly reflects is that when faced with a breakup, P!NK feels just as cynical and confused as we all do. So, for anyone who is newly single or on the rebound this album could not have come at a better time. The songs are ahh-mazing! They are honest and raw but definitely not for the prudish!
When I first got this album I was beyond excited, I’ve always been a fan of P!NK and in my eyes she can do no wrong. It’s crazy how much I actually relate. Personally, I’ve never been any good at taking my own advice – so after listening for the 50th time, I decided that P!NK will become my life coach and I’d start living by a couple of these brilliant lyrics.
Here is my list:
“There is nothing to grab, so I let go!”
This line is self-explanatory, I mean we’ve all had one of those toxic relationships with the douchebags, the unrealistic dreamers, the compulsive liars, the self absorbed “artistic” types…you know the ones, I know you know the ones but there comes a point when we have to let go…
“If your sh*t is not together it’ll never be you and me.”
Ladies and Gents, words of wisdom – before diving head first into your next relationship make sure they’ve got it together. Emotional baggage is sooooo last year.
“I’ll dress nice, I’ll look good, I’ll go dancing alone…I’ll get drunk, I’ll take somebody home. I think I maybe think too much.”
This is a must! Stop thinking, get all dolled up and go out (preferably with your best pal) and have an amazing time! Random hook-up is optional.
“Just because it burns doesn’t mean you’re gonna die.”
As perfect as I think this line would be as the jingle for an STD ad, this line does give you that little reminder you might need to take a risk. Maybe you’ve tried hard and fallen short doesn’t mean you should give up. The next time something scares you, take the leap…go for it! You might get hurt, you might fail or you might kill it but you’ll never know unless you TRY! See “You gotta get up and try, try, try.”
“Why do we fall in love so easy even when its not right?”
Very important question that I too would like the answer to, anyone?
“My attention is like an infant tryna crawl around this joint.”
This line is one of my absolute faves, it describes me to the letter. According to my brother I have the attention of a “dead gerbil”and it might be true.
“I’m wearing last night’s dress and I look like a hot a** mess. Although my hair looks good cause I haven’t slept yet.”
It takes someone special to make a catchy, peppy song about the awkward walk to the car following a one-night stand.
There you have it, P!NK is amazing, the album is amazing and you should go get it! Maybe she can be your life coach too. LOL!
