How big was the March For Our Lives? The crowd size in D.C. could set a record

It’s pretty obvious that yesterday’s March For Our Lives crowds were huge. All in all, millions of peaceful protesters took to the streets around the globe to demand an end to gun violence, once and for all. But how big was the March For Our Lives crowd in Washington, D.C.? According to event organizers, it just might be record-breaking.

Initial reports estimate that roughly 800,000 people gathered in our nation’s capital as part of the global March For Our Lives movement. If that number ends up being correct, that means the March For Our Lives is now the largest single-day protest in D.C.’s history, according to USA Today.

Yeah, it’s like that.

That would also make March For Our Lives bigger than 2017’s Women’s March, which brought around 500,000 protesters to D.C. And it doesn’t stop there. The Women’s March is considered the largest single-day protest in recorded history — anywhere — and early estimates show that March For Our Lives could blow it out of the water. More than 800 protests took place on Saturday, both in the United States and internationally, and they drew huge crowds.
