Hotels.com wants to pay you $10,000 to lounge by the pool this summer—here’s how to apply
Whoa, whoa, whoa—what’s the catch? Literally, there isn’t one. Hotels.com is looking for someone to lounge by the pool at several hotels across the U.S. this summer. And, yes, they want to pay someone $10,000 to do it. Anyone can apply by June 25th to be considered for the first-ever “Poolhop” position, and if you’re chosen, you’ll get free lodging, airfare, Gold Member status on Hotels.com, and $10,000 in cold, hard cash.
“This summer, we’re hiring our first-ever “Poolhop” to travel across the country researching the most epic hotel pools from coast to coast. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it,” Hotels.com writes on its site. “The Poolhop’s responsibilities are simple; travel to some of the most incredible hotel pools across the country, sip on fruity drinks, snap some photos, sport a hotel robe and report back to reward-loving Hotels.com fans.”
“In case we weren’t clear enough: Lounge by the pool. Document the experience. Get paid,” the site reads. We hear you loud and clear, Hotels.com. Loud and clear.
The only qualifications needed is for the applicant to be over 21 years old, have availability to travel across the U.S. for two weeks in August, the “ability to apply sunscreen,” and “a penchant for water and ability to swim.”

To apply, all you have to do is fill out a super simple form on Hotels.com. And that’s it. That’s literally it.
One lucky applicant will travel from Hawaii to Las Vegas, Los Angeles to Brooklyn, and more…just to test out the hotel’s pool experience.
