And this is how you do an Honest Trailer for a movie that none of us know anything about

Honest Trailers has done it again. But, honestly, they might have outdone themselves this time. Typically, these trailers are about movies that have been out for a while and we’ve all watched a hundred times already. Then, the folks behind Honest Trailers, Screen Junkies, kindly poke fun at it and we can all revel in the, well, honesty of it. So how do you make an Honest Trailer about a movie NO ONE has seen, and for which no plot synopsis has even been released? Easy. Just remind us that we don’t know anything about it, while also reminding us about the prequel mistakes of the past.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens now has its very own Honest Teaser, even though the movie’s still 42 days from being released. Knowing this, the awesome people at Screen Junkies remind us that WE KNOW NOTHING. Everything is purely speculation right now.

Actually, no, there’s one thing we know for certain. Those stories about Midi-chlorians, podracing, and sand? They’re all true. And it’s time to let them go.

With some “new nerd” directing now, we’re reminded that TIE fighters are still cool. And yes, the trailer is giving us goosebumps, and yes, we’d totally see the movie even if was just “two hours of a monkey washing a cat.” Honestly, we’d see that three or four times.
