Watch Reese Witherspoon get her groove back in the new trailer for “Home Again”

Reese Witherspoon’s recently separated character seems to certainly be getting her groove back in the new trailer for Home Again.

The movie stars Witherspoon, Michael Sheen, Candice Bergen, and a group of hunky young men, and the story centers on Witherspoon’s character, a mother of two young girls who is looking for a fresh start for herself. Considering, she’s ready to let loose, so things turn saucy pretty quickly when she meets a young man during a birthday celebration.

And ooh la la.

That man (Pico Alexander) is an aspiring filmmaker who is super handsome and oh-so-charming. It turns out that he, along with his two younger friends, need somewhere to live as they pursue their dreams, and Witherspoon’s character takes them in.

As her relationship with Alexander’s character seems to heat up, despite the generation gap, her estranged husband (Sheen) shows up to try and work on their marriage — and naturally, things get complicated quickly.

We’re very intrigued, so let’s just take a moment to say that we’re so excited to see Witherspoon getting back to her romantic comedy roots!

The giddy looks she exchanges with Alexander are enough to make us giggle. Combine those with some hilarious interactions (she does his laundry after he sleeps over) and color us us super stoked to see her in the role.

Home Again (due September 8th) is written and directed by Nancy Meyers’ daughter, Hallie Meyers-Shyer. Nancy brought us heartwarming gems like Something’s Gotta Give and The Intern. And, from this short trailer alone, it seems the witty apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
