Hogwarts just got a gorgeous holiday makeover

There’s no place like home for the holidays. Except maybe Hogwarts.

Admit to yourself that if you had the option of going home for the holidays, or spending the holiday break at Hogwarts and dining in the Great Hall and watching it snow indoors and also there are giant Christmas trees and everything is actually and literally magical, you’d do that. The family will understand.

Since we can’t travel to Hogwarts for Christmas, we’re going to have to settle for the next best thing, and that’s a trip to the Warner Bros. Studios Tour in London, where they’ve got the actual sets from the Harry Potter films. For the holidays, they’re given a delightfully cheery makeover – just like Hogwarts — with trees, presents, and an incredible (fake) feast with all the trimmings.

This holiday makeover is called “Hogwarts in the Snow,” and features a newly-decorated Great Hall (complete with eight Christmas trees) and a decked out Gryffindor common room, too. Along with the new Christmas decorations, you’ll also find props and wardrobes used by our trio, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, in the movies. Now 100% in the holiday spirit.

And, for the first time this year, THE Goblet of Fire is coming out for the festivities. It’s almost time for the Yule Ball, you know.

“Hogwarts in the Snow” will run up until the end of the year, and then it’s back to the same old same old Hogwarts we know and love. Not that that’s a bad thing.
