This KFC ad recreates “Game of Thrones'” super sad Hodor moment, and it’s still TOO. DAMN. SOON.

If we’re going to be completely honest — prepare for some Game of Thrones spoilers! — we’re not over Hodor‘s super sad and super selfless death. Despite that, we’re currently reliving our many, many feels because KFC UK and Ireland released an ad that plays on the iconic GoT moment.

As a refresher, here’s what Winterfell’s loyal servant (played by Kristian Nairn) went through in his final moments.

And here’s the KFC ad titled “Lunchtime is coming…,” which is described as “the lunchtime rush. A hungry horde. Only one man can hold them back.”

We have to admit, it is funny. It shows Nairn working at a KFC and waiting for the lunch crowd to come in. When the clock strikes noon, they swarm the KFC and start yelling their orders at him. Backed by super melodramatic music, he repeats “chicken and fries” until that turns into “chicken and rice,” as part of a promotion for the KFC Ricebox.

It’s just like “hold the door” turning into “Hodor,” and while we understand it, it still feels way too soon. (But honestly, will we ever get over his death?!) At the very least, we get to see the lovely Nairn again, and remember the wonderfulness that was Hodor.

Plus, there’s Season 7 of Game of Thrones to look forward to, which premieres on HBO on July 16th.
