Hoda Kotb shared pics of daughter Haley Joy’s first birthday, and she’s gotten so big
We were head over heels in love when Hoda Kotb introduced her daughter to the world. Born on Valentine’s Day, little Haley Joy is already one year old. Kotb adopted Haley Joy last year and was quick to share the news with the Today family, even bringing her on the show when she was just a newborn.
In the words of co-host Kathie Lee Gifford, Kotb was “made to be a mom,” and we have to agree. If you’ve ever wanted to see what true glow looks like, just take a look at Kotb whenever she’s talking about her daughter.
In fact, in an article written by Kotb for Today‘s website, she said she’s felt more alive this past year than she’s ever felt in her whole life.
"If I had to describe my year in one word, it would be rebirth, because I feel like my life started in 2017," she said. "I feel like I had a life before, but I don't remember it, and it seems incredibly insignificant compared to what happened in 2017."
Unfortunately, Kotb wasn’t able to celebrate Haley Joy’s first birthday with her in person, as she’s currently in Pyeongchang, South Korea to report on the 2018 Winter Olympics. But the good news is that the duo celebrated early. Haley Joy had a cute homemade birthday cake to celebrate the big day.

She also shared a video in which Haley Joy hears her very first “Happy Birthday” song.
