Hoda Kotb revealed she adopted baby #2, and her name is so perfect

Hoda Kotb just became a second-time mom. Kotb, 54, welcomed baby number two into her family earlier this week, surprising both her fans and her TODAY cohosts with a phone call on Tuesday, April 16th. “It’s a girl!” she said before announcing her daughter’s name: Hope Catherine Kotb.
"Man, I'm so happy she's here," Kotb told her co-anchors over the phone. "My God, my heart just grew," she said of the moment Hope was handed to her. "I can't believe it's happening, y'all."
The anchor opened up to People in 2017 about wanting to become a mother at age 52. After surviving breast cancer more than a decade ago, she was left unable to bear children. “One of the things in my life I’ve always wanted was to be a mom,” Kotb said at the time. “Sometimes in your life, things just don’t work out for whatever reason, so you say, ‘Well, I wasn’t meant to have that.’ But it was really hard to come to terms with it.”
