‘Hocus Pocus’ is getting a stage show, completing your childhood Halloween dreams
This fall, your favorite SISTERS!! are getting their very own stage show. Your favorite sisters are, of course, Winifred, Mary, and Sarah. Come All Hallow’s Eve, you can find these three Sanderson sisters in Disney World, so this is hereby the best Hocus Pocus news for the month.
Every year Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida holds a special ticketed event called Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Basically, have you ever wanted to go trick-or-treating in the Magic Kingdom? This is your chance. Along with tons of candy, the event also has its own Halloween-themed parade, along with a Halloween stage show in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Starting this year, that show will feature our favorite witches from Salem, Massachusetts.
The Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular will bring our sisters to the “mortal world for one night during the Halloween season. With only a few hours to run amuck, the three sisters decide to use their magic to throw the best, evil Halloween party this side of the graveyard!” The Disney Parks Blog also mentions that they won’t be alone, and will bring along some of our other favorite villains — like Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent — along with “dancers, projections, and special effects that combine to make this new show a not-to-be-missed Halloween treat.”
In past MNSSHPs, there’s been a “Villains Mix & Mingle” following the villains’ stage show, where you can snap pictures with your favorite baddies. Will that tradition carry over to this year, too? Please say yes, Magic Kingdom. PLEASE. SAY. YES.
MNSSHP will run during select nights between September and November, and then events usually sell out so buy all your tickets right now in May. And you know what they say, first comes the Magic Kingdom stage show, second comes the Hocus Pocus sequel. If they don’t say that, can they start? Best Halloween movie ever.
