This “Hocus Pocus” actress is pregnant, and her announcement is every fan’s dream
It’s almost fall, which means it’s almost Halloween season, which means it’s almost time to watch Hocus Pocus on repeat. Well, in case you can’t wait ’til October, we have some Hocus Pocus news for you now. Vinessa Shaw, aka Allison from Hocus Pocus, is pregnant, and her announcement was perfect.
You remember Allison, right? She’s the badass who befriended Max and Dani, because she was super bored at the stuffy Halloween party her parents threw. So the three of them went on an adventure to the Sanderson sisters’ house, and got into a bit of trouble. You remember.
Well, 24 years after the movie’s release, Shaw has announced that she’s expecting a baby!
Shaw, who is now 41 and just as magical as she was as a teenager, took to Instagram to announce that she and husband Kristopher Gifford are expecting their first child together. But it wasn’t just any old announcement — they were super clever about it.
The couple stood in front of a step and repeat, as if they were posing for the press at some sort of fancy Hollywood event. But if you look closer at the words and images on the backdrop, you’ll notice they aren’t at a Hollywood event at all. Shaw captioned the photo,
"Great News! We are proud and excited to share that we are expecting a little one early next year!...My hubby is a graphic designer, so I hope you appreciate his cheekiness "
As a matter of fact, we do appreciate the cheekiness. She then posted a different version of the baby announcement, and it’s completely magical.
“Maybe I should have used this for my pregnancy announcement?? #anythinggoes,” she wrote.
It doesn’t get more perfect than that. Congratulations to Shaw and Gifford!
