When diamonds aren’t enough to seal the deal, throw in a pizza. It works every time. Or at least, it worked for one hockey player who knows the way to his lady’s heart. NHL hockey player Erik Karlsson proposed to his girlfriend with pizza, and she said yes. BECAUSE PIZZA IS EVERYTHING.
The Ottawa Senators captain proposed to his longtime girlfriend Melinda Currey by placing a gorgeous diamond engagement ring on top of a pepperoni pizza. The ring was kept in the ring box, probably to avoid consumption.
If a pizza proposal from a hockey player doesn’t say romance, we don’t know what does.
Currey posted a picture of the setup. While the pepperonis look like they’ve seen better days, it’s still the dreamiest proposal ever.
"In case there was ever any doubt that he's the one 🍕... #dreamproposal #dreamguy," she wrote.
Karlsson posted a picture of the proposal aftermath (he failed to mention the pizza part, but he clearly didn’t even need to).
