We have some great news for Hillary Clinton fans
So this is maybe the best thing we’ve heard so far this year: In Hillary Clinton’s St. Patrick’s Day speech, she announced her intention to “come out of the woods.”
As women, we can’t imagine anything more utterly demoralizing than running for an office you’ve been preparing for, only to see it slip through your fingers, despite winning the popular vote. Of course, Hillary’s loss is a large-scale tableau of what most women deal with on the daily. But we totally understand why most sightings of Hillary Clinton lately have been people randomly running into her in the woods while walking her dogs. Girl needed some “me time.”
But it looks like “Me time’ is now “Us time.”
In her speech for the Society of Irish Women in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Hill made it clear she’s not done fighting.
"I am ready to come out of the woods and to help shine a light on what is already happening around kitchen tables, at dinners like this, to help draw strength that will enable everybody to keep going."
And we literally couldn’t be happier. We need you to fight for us, Hillary Clinton. She also voiced the same feeling many of us are dealing with when watching what’s going on in our country lately.
"I'm like a lot of my friends right now, I have a hard time watching the news," she said.
And we’re like, girl, same.
We’re happy to hear that one of the most influential women of our time is ready to get back in the ring, because we could definitely use her now more than ever.
