Hillary Clinton opened up about ~those emails~ and we’re hearing her out
This election is SUCH A MESS, you guys. And one thing that keeps on coming up is the Hillary Clinton email controversy. When it comes down to it, there are some things we don’t know about the Clinton email scandal, which, eh, maybe should or shouldn’t even be called a scandal in the first place. You probably know that the FBI is reviewing Hillary Clinton’s emails, and Clinton is now speaking out about the emails. Here’s what she had to say.
According to Business Insider, Clinton spoke at Kent State University in Ohio on Monday to give her side of the story. She said,
"I am sure a lot of you may be asking what this new email story is about and why in the world the FBI would decide to jump into the election with no evidence of any wrongdoing with just days to go."
She quipped,
"That is a good question."
Clinton continued, saying that she wasn’t trying to make excuses, but instead to explain why she wishes the media would move on. She said,
"And first of all, for those of you who are concerned about my using personal email, I understand, and as I said, I am not making excuse."
She recognizes her error, and is confident that things will play out as they should with the FBI.
"I have said it was a mistake and I regret it, and now they apparently want to look at emails of one of my staffers, and by all means they should look at them, and I am sure they will reach the same conclusion when they looked at my emails for the last year — there is no case here."
We remain curious about this mess, and will keep paying attention. Either way, we’re glad we’re taking the time to do our own research!
