Little girl dresses as Hillary Clinton for Halloween, meets Hillary, loves life
In Charleston, South Carolina, there lives a little girl who does not mess around when it comes to dressing up. Sullivan Wood may only be 4 years old, but that hasn’t stopped her from dressing up as the cutest little Hillary Clinton the world has ever seen. This Halloween, Sullivan decided to go trick-or-treating as her fave candidate.
Sullivan doesn’t only love Hillary — she looks up to her as a role model. “Sullivan thinks she’ll be the next female president after Hillary Clinton,” her mom, Jennifer Jones-Wood, told BuzzFeed News. “She loves her. We campaign together for Hillary and she even has a poster of her above her bed.”
This year, the costume was about more than scoring candy, though. On the morning of Halloween, she dressed up in her costume – a skirt suit, a patriotic pair of sneaks, a set of pearls, and a briefcase with the Constitution inside — and went to Hillary’s rally in Charleston. Little did Sullivan know that she wouldn’t only get to see her presidential idol, but meet her, because campaign aids noticed her costume and brought her backstage!
Sullivan got the full presidential treatment. She got Secret Service detail:
And when she got to meet her idol, Hillary thought she was adorable, even though Sullivan was feeling a bit shy initially. The candidate even posted a pic of herself with her mini-me on Facebook, where it’s been shared almost 3,000 times.
“Hillary was tickled pink and Sullivan was just so excited. She’s been talking about it non-stop,” Jennifer told BuzzFeed. “I don’t think she understands the magnitude of this because she’s 4. But she’s been walking around with her briefcase all day and she’s ready to go trick-or-treating tonight!”
Luckily, this was all caught on video, too. “She looks like a future president,” Hillary said as she posed with Sullivan. We totally agree. Thanks, Hillary, for making Sullivan’s dream come true.
