Hilary Duff does not want a “Lizzie McGuire” revival — we blame Paolo
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 13 years since Lizzie McGuire’s been in our lives on a regular basis. So naturally, the thought of the show resurfacing makes us very happy. But…get ready… unfortunately, that thought was just shot down, because Hilary Duff doesn’t want to do a Lizzie McGuire revival.
And now we’re mourning the loss of something we never had.
With all the nostalgic shows coming back for reboots (Fuller House, Gilmore Girls, Will & Grace, Roseanne, Raven’s Home), we were really hoping for a Lizzie McGuire revival — but according to Duff, it’s not gonna happen.
Duff chatted with the hosts of Good Morning America earlier this week, and when asked if she missed being on Lizzie McGuire, she was quick to respond, “No. I don’t.”
That doesn’t mean she doesn’t hold a special place for the show in her heart.
"But I loved it and honestly it prepared me for so much and I think – just like it hit everyone else when they needed it to at that time of their lives – it did the same thing for me," she added. "I totally related to her, loved her, felt like I was her completely. It totally worked, she was just so relatable. But I'm kind of glad to move on."

As much as we want to see a revival, we get that Duff has moved on. She’s a busy mom to her adorable 5-year-old son Luca, and Season 4 of her show Younger premieres June 28th on TV Land. So we’ll just watch reruns of Lizzie McGuire and accept that it’s never coming back.
