Hilary Duff reminded us that the jorts trend isn’t going away any time soon
Year after year, what’s the one summer wardrobe staple you find yourself reaching for? Although it may be different for some, we’re going to go ahead and say that a good pair of jean shorts (aka “jorts”) has never failed anyone — especially as the season picks up speed. While every person may have their own opinion in terms of rise and fit, one thing’s certain: Denim shorts are to summer and spring like jeans are to fall and winter — in that they’re not going anywhere any time soon.
Take it from Hilary Duff, who rocked her cut-offs while filming Younger. We’re taking this as her version of what it means to be “summer cool.”
Duff was seen wearing an oversized, striped tunic shirt and distressed denim cut-offs. To accentuate her casual-but-still-cool aesthetic, the actress topped off her look with a straw hat and white slip-on espadrilles. As for her hair, Hilary kept it in loose curls, opting for bronzed skin and subtle lips to complete the easygoing California look. Altogether, Duff is checking off every box on our summer style bucket list.
The best part about this particular look is Hilary’s shorts, since they go with everything and anything. You can dress them up with fishnets or tights, and you can even pair them with a blouse and pumps for a “high meets low” look.
