Hilary Duff is engaged—and the ring is spectacular
The past year has already been a whirlwind for Hilary Duff and her partner, Matthew Koma, who welcomed their daughter, Banks Violet Bair, in October 2018. Now, Duff and Koma are officially engaged, and they commemorated the occasion with matching Instagram posts.
Duff posted two pictures to Instagram today, May 9th. In the first, she shows off her gorgeous diamond ring to the camera, beaming as she stands beside her new fiancé. The second features a romantic black and white snapshot of the pair sharing a celebratory kiss.
"He asked me to be his wife," Duff captioned her post, along with a heart emoji.
Koma shared the same pictures along with the caption: “I asked my best friend to marry me…”
Duff and Koma began dating in 2017, making their first official red carpet appearance as a couple that January. According to People, they briefly broke things off, but later reconciled. In June 2018, Duff announced that they were expecting a child together, and baby Banks was born on October 25th. Duff celebrated the arrival with a sweet picture of herself and Koma admiring their new baby.
"This little bit has fully stolen our hearts!" she wrote. "She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic."
Banks is Koma and Duff’s first child together. The Younger actress also has a 7-year-old son, Luca, with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie.
Congratulations, guys! We’re wishing you all the luck on your next step as a couple.
