Hilary Duff’s dress could easily be the first sign of spring
Listen, we’re not putting our faith in a groundhog to tell us when (or when not) spring has sprung. Instead, we’re putting our faith in Hilary Duff because Hilary Duff’s floral dress is absolutely the first sign of spring. Don’t even try to question that logic, Punxsutawney Phil!
Duff — and her shadow — was spotted in Los Angeles yesterday before co-hosting The Talk in a festive floral tunic dress. She wore the piece with bare legs and paired the look with open-toed sandals. She was even sipping on an iced coffee.
If this ensemble doesn’t scream spring, then we are at a complete loss.
Note: Please ignore the woman next to Duff in a turtleneck and overalls. She was unaware at the time that spring had sprung, and most likely changed into shorts and a t-shirt soon after this photo was taken.
Just look at Duff radiating warmth and sunshine! Spring is here, people! Sound the alarm!
It’s time to put those sweaters away and restock your spring wardrobe. We think Duff’s tunic dress is more than appropriate for the transition from winter to spring. The long sleeves take the chill off, but the above-the-knee hemline allows you to get some color on those winterized legs!
And obviously floral is a must for spring. This black and red ASOS dress ($53) is a cool dupe for Duff’s.
This ASOS shirt dress ($58) is also perfect to celebrate spring in.
We can’t explain the science, but we know for sure that Duff’s dress is ushering in the warm weather. Yes, there may still be snow on the ground in some areas, but break out the shorts and get your suntan lotion ready. Spring has sprung!
