Current life status: Swooning over Hilary Duff’s new cotton candy hair
Hilary Duff — singer, actress, mom, and all-around lovely human being — has given us major style and beauty goals ever since she played the titular character on the early-2000s Disney Channel classic Lizzie McGuire. One of the main areas of beauty she has particularly rocked? Hair. And she’s kept rocking her ‘do, especially lately.
Just yesterday, Duff debuted a sweet shade of cotton-candy pink, courtesy of stylist Nikki Lee at Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood. And it has us all dreaming of sweet shades of pastel.
According to Refinery29, Nine Zero One Salon stylist Amber Maynard-Bolt calls the color “iced sorbet,” which is a perfect name and also makes us hungry. Even Duff herself couldn’t resist showing off a pic of her new ’do on Twitter, and we can’t say we blame her, considering how fabulous it looks.
Duff hasn’t been afraid to experiment with fun hair colors in the past. Last spring, she debuted a mermaid-esque turquoise color that was to dye (sorry, had to) for – styled by Maynard-Bolt – before switching back to blonde with a pink dip-dye effect. And just a few days later, she switched to a silvery color that had us all asking ourselves if going gray is really all that bad (answer: nope). She also surprised us all and chopped off her long, signature blonde locks into a chic bob.
We love, love, love Hil’s new look, and the fact that it’s giving us some major spring vibes. Inspiration for a hair color that will make us feel less frigid the rest of this winter season? Yes, please!
