Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain just threw a terrible party on purpose

Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain are currently starring in Guillermo Del Toro’s goth-y creepfest Crimson Peak, and as a fun goof, they put together a video in which they threw the most bone-chilling of bashes.

Hiddleston and Chastain only invited one guest to their scary soiree, Josh Horowitz, the host of MTV’s After Hours.

“Jessica and I very much look forward to seeing you and not murdering you in any way at all,” Hiddleston says in the letter that is both yellowed with age and covered in something that looks a lot like blood.

So, of course, we’re expecting Horowitz to drive up to a spooky old mansion covered in cobwebs with sounds of rattling chains and low moans filling the air. Instead, he walks into an empty room (save one admittedly horror movie-appropriate rocking chair) where Hiddleston and Chastain are waiting for him. The two quickly prove themselves terrifying in a most unexpected  way. They are basically the most awkward, needy, worst party hosts imaginable. The two immediately eat all the snacks, smash Horowitz’s phone, proceed to engage in one of the most bizarre dance parties ever, which ends with “sensitive soul” Hiddleston in tears.

Hiddleston and Chastain awesomely ham it up and it’s a blast to see these to, who tend to skew dramatic and intense with their performances, get their goof on for this very silly video that reminds us all that the scariest thing of all might just be people who have no chill.
