Today is a day worth celebrating. Not only is it Thursday — which makes it almost Friday — but it’s an entire day dedicated to BREAD and the things that go inside it. That’s right, it’s National Sandwich Day. We’ve put together a list of where to get the best deals to properly help you celebrate National Sandwich Day, because we obviously care about you and your sandwich needs.

But first a quick history lesson. National Sandwich Day happens on November 3rd each year — the birthday of Joh Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, according to his Wikipedia page. In 1729, at the young age of 10, he succeeded his grandfather to become the Earl of Sandwich, but his most notable and world-changing achievement was inventing the sandwich.

So yeah, the inventor of the sandwich definitely deserves his own nationally recognized day.
