Here’s who was supposed to play Daenerys Targaryen on “Game of Thrones”

Emilia Clarke IS Emilia Clarke because of Game of Thrones. She is Daenerys Targaryen and Daenerys Targaryen is her, for infinity until forever!

We just learned that Sam Claflin was almost cast as Jon Snow, but did you know that Emilia wasn’t cast as Daenerys at first? In fact, a different actress played Dany in the first pilot. For those who don’t know, there are TWO Game of Thrones pilots. The first one was SOO bad that HBO made the creators scrap the original pilot and make an entirely new one. The second pilot is the one you’ve all seen. The original Mother of Dragons was let go after that first pilot and replaced with Ms. Clarke.

So, who WAS the original Dany?
