Here’s how much the cast of “The Big Bang Theory” makes

Someone might as well rename The Big Bang Theory and call it The Big BANK Theory. We say this because the show’s cast members are making more moola than all of us combined (unless, ya know, some of you are millionaires who can bathe in money).

According to People, Kaley Cuoco (who plays Penny), Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), and Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) upgraded their contracts in 2014 so that they’re now making $1 million for every episode. Since the show is currently pumping out 24 episodes per season, this means that these three actors are making $24 million every single year. Considering that they were originally paid $350,000 per episode, this is a pretty big difference.

As for Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz) and Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali), they’re making about 80% of their castmates’ $1 million salary. People reports that Helberg is making $750,000 per episode and, according to Deadline, Nayyar is making about the same. Originally, they were both being paid $100,000 per episode – so there was another major raise on The Big Bang Theory set.

Though Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski) don’t make as much per episode, they are still doing quite well for themselves. Movie Pilot reports that these two were making $60,000 per episode during Season 7, but that they will be earning about $100,000 per episode by the time their contracts expire. Even though it may not be a million dollars, it’s still an improvement considering that they were paid $30,000 per episode when they first started on the series.

Ultimately, The Big Bang Theory cast is definitely getting a bang for their buck.
