Here’s Kate Middleton playing tennis while pregnant, so she’s clearly feeling better
When Kate Middleton announced that she was pregnant this summer with her third child, she also said that she was was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness that she’d had with her other two pregnancies. But there’s good news — Kate Middleton played tennis on Tuesday, so she seems to be doing a lot better.
The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out to play at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton during the Tennis for Kids session, which teaches kids ages 5 to 8. The 35-year-old is no rookie when it comes to the sport. According to People, she goes to the Lawn Association and has a court at her Anmer Hall house out in the country.
It runs in the family, too. According to coach Sam Richardson at the Lawn Association told People that little George is all about playing ball, too. “With George just being 4 he wants to whack a ball. So, she was asking what sort of stuff should be doing. She said he’s interested in it but more in whacking the ball,” he said, describing the cutest thing ever. Can we please get pictures of Prince George on a tennis court next?
In the meantime, here’s Kate hanging with other kids on the court.
She’s definitely going easy on them.
She is either feeling much better or is a badass at faking it.
For the record, Kate also repeats outfits like a normal person when it comes to outerwear, giving us all the more reason to love her. According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess was wearing a Clarice jacket, Nike Air VaporMax sneakers, and Monreal track pants that she wore back in 2016 to another tennis event in Scotland.
No judgement, BTW. We’d wear these every day, too.
It’s great to see that she’s up to making solo appearances so soon after her pregnancy announcement, and an active one at that. Last month, she allegedly was rushed to the hospital because of her morning sickness, which is something that happened while she was pregnant with Charlotte, too. Hyperemesis gravidarum isn’t *just* about not keeping food down. It can lead to dehydration and an inability to gain weight, which can be scary when you’re pregnant. And no one likes being severely nauseous.
Hopefully, Kate will stay healthy. And maybe even get in a few more games of tennis without the cameras around before the baby comes in April.
