We cannot believe the insane thing Cara Delevingne did to get into her “Suicide Squad” character
Cara Delevingne stars alongside Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Ben Affleck, and Jared Leto in Suicide Squad, which is based on the darkest of all DC Comics. In the movie, a gang of sociopathic archvillains unite to complete a highly classified government mission.
And apparently to play a sociopath, one must fully embrace sociopathic tendencies. So yeah, things got weird when the actors took on a more method approach to their acting. Jared Leto was extreme with his method while preparing for the role of the Joker. He dyed his hair all different colors, powdered his skin, sent his cast mates gifts like anal beads, a used condom (a fake one, we assume) and sticky copies of Playboy, according to W Magazine.
Cara Delevingne went to different lengths to find her character who has a Spider-Man-like double identity. By day, she’s Dr. June Moone — a shy scientist; by night, she morphs into the evil persona of Enchantress.
OuterPlaces revealed exactly what it took for Delevingne to prepare for her role.
“[Director David Ayer] asked me to go into a forest under a full moon and take my clothes off to feel what nature felt like, to feel what it felt like to be an animal… and I did,” Delevingne said. “It didn’t sound that weird to me.”
Now that’s dedication to the craft. Suicide Squad is set to be released August 5, 2016.
