Here’s how you can watch the BET Awards from start to finish tonight
Tonight is the BET Awards, and you can BET it’s going to be LIT. Don’t have cable? It’s okay, because there are plenty of online streaming options for watching the BET Awards, starting with the red carpet at 6 p.m. EST.
This red carpet is going to be a can’t-miss event, because celebs don’t hold back with their BET Awards fashions. And don’t even get us started on the BET Awards performances!
Oh, and another thing: Leslie Jones is hosting tonight’s show.

So yeah… This show is un-missable.
Here’s how you can catch it all (and probably catch a zillion feelings).
Live coverage of the red carpet will be streaming on BET.com starting at 6:30 EST, as well as on the BET Now app, which cable subscribers (aka your parents) have access to. There’s also going to be a fun backstage live-streaming on Twitter while the show is happening, and that starts at 8:30 p.m. EST. Oh yeah.
If that’s not enough for you, Periscope (remember that app?) is hosting a BET Awards channel all day and night, which will feature live videos recorded by artists themselves! Who doesn’t love a good awards-show-prep video? As for watching the actual show, that’s inevitably done only with access to cable.
The show starts at 8 p.m. EST, so you have plenty of time to call everyone you know and ask if you can have their online cable passwords.
It’s totally worth making the effort to watch because SO many exciting things are planned for the show: Chance the Rapper is going to receive the Humanitarian Award; Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae, and Issa Rae are all nominated for acting awards (how will they choose?); live performances are set to include Xscape, Mary J. Blige, French Montana, Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars, and Big Sean.
Beyoncé is also nominated, but it’s probably safe to bet that she won’t be in attendance. We’ll miss you Bey, but we won’t be missing tonight on BET.
