Here’s how you can show solidarity with Las Vegas through your Facebook photo

Last night, a gunman targeted a country music festival in Las Vegas and opened fire. Today, it’s being called the deadliest shooting in the history of the United States. When we feel grief, sometimes we try to find the best way to show love and support — and that’s why you may just see support for the Las Vegas shooting victims on Facebook.

While it’s always important to see what you can do in terms of donating blood or offering a financial donation to help the 500+ victims who were injured or killed, it can also be positive to let your friends know that you stand by those who were affected.

In this case, it’ll show that you think our gun laws need to change and that we should work to prevent tragedies like this through better regulation of weapons.

The graphic designers among us might get a bit more creative, but if you’d like to change your photo by adding a decorative frame which shows your support, just log into your Facebook account and hover over your profile photo.

From there, you should see the option to update your profile picture. After clicking, you’ll see two selections — one that says “Upload Photo,” and one that says “Add Frame.”

As of right now, there’s one frame that’s directly related to the Las Vegas shooting — it’s called Pray for Las Vegas, and it should be the first frame available.

The frame will appear on the lower right hand side of your profile photo, and it’ll look a little something like this:

This particular frame was created by consulting firm Rosemint Media, but more might pop up as the day progresses.

Even if you’re not local, victims of the Las Vegas shooting (and others) will still benefit if you choose to donate blood — so if you’re eligible, that’s one of the best ways to show support.
