Here’s a glittering rainbow geode, and there’s no point except it’s gorgeous
We’re going to be upfront with you. There’s no real point to this story. Nevertheless, we feel like it might bring a little happiness to your day. If you’re in the mood to feast your eyes upon something so stunning and so colorful, then you’re in the right place. This gorgeous glittering rainbow geode will turn you into the heart-eyes emoji. For real!

BoredPandaArt posted the YouTube video and explained the creation of geodes in the caption. They write,
"Geodes start their lives as bubbles in volcanic rock or as animal burrows, tree roots or mud balls in sedimentary rock. Over millions of years, the outer shell hardens, and water forms on the inner walls. If the liquid contains dissolved minerals, it forms crystals within the cavity."

The rainbow effect we see in the rocks is called holo, like holographic. Simply Nailogical, a nail art YouTuber and self-proclaimed “holosexual,” has a whole video dedicated to describing what holo is. Although she’s talking about holo nail polish, we think you can make the connection between these crystals and the holo phenomenon.
