Here’s why Chris Pratt and Anna Faris’ 22 push up challenge is so inspiring

In case you needed another reason to love Chris Pratt and Anna Faris, look no further than their recent Instagram posts. Recently, Pratt posted a video of himself and Faris doing push-ups to Instagram, and the reason why will absolutely inspire you. Beyond just showing off their fitness skills, Pratt and Faris are doing 22 push-ups every day for 22 days straight in order to raise awareness for an important and under-discussed issue: Each and every day, 22 former service members die from suicide.
According to Refinery29, it appears that the 22 Push Up challenge is comparable to the Ice Bucket Challenge, in that you post your own video or picture to social media, then tag friends and encourage them to do the same and keep the cycle going. This is in an attempt to raise awareness and further educate people on under-discussed but incredibly important issues.
The organization behind the challenge is called 22Kill, an organization that advocates on behalf of our veterans and works to raise awareness for the veteran suicide epidemic. One of the goals of the movement is to get people to complete 22 million push ups. If you participate in the challenge, you can share your pictures and videos using the hashtag #22pushups. From the looks of the hashtag so far, it appears that a lot of celebrities are getting on board, ranging from The Rock to John Krasinski, which suggests that a good number of people will see the challenge and spread awareness for this important issue.
