Heidi Klum doesn’t care that people care she has a younger boyfriend, and we’re clapping
Even though she’s a gorgeous supermodel — with an equally gorgeous personality — Heidi Klum took flack for her younger boyfriend, Vito Schnabel. Critics have called her a “cougar” — because Heidi is 13-years older than her boo — and said the relationship won’t last.
But in a new interview with Ocean Drive magazine, Heidi brushes off that criticism with a flawless response: “It’s not about age,” she said. “We have an amazing connection, we have fun together, and we love each other.”
"It doesn’t matter what people say. As long as you know when you close your door in your own home, you have an amazing time together. That’s really all that matters," Klum added.
Klum, 43, and Schnabel, 30, have been dating since 2014, about two years after Klum’s split from her longtime spouse, Seal, with whom she has four children. Heidi often shares sweet photos of the herself and Vito on Instagram, professing her love for her art curator partner.
Though she says she “won’t get married again,” Heidi is “very much in love” with Vito and doesn’t mind letting the world know it.
She made clear in her Ocean Drive interview, though, that the PDA photos often shared of Heidi and Vito are totally out of context and paint an inaccurate picture of her relationship.
“I’m not doing PDA on the beach with tons of people,” she said. “I go on a boat or I take a hike somewhere. If you would zoom out in the places where I’m with my boyfriend, there’s nobody there. Unfortunately, paparazzi always follow us, in a helicopter or they hang behind a bush or a boat and they come up with scuba gear. But to the outside world, it looks like we’re frolicking on the beach having a show in front of everyone.”
Forget ’em, Heidi! Enjoy your love!
