The “heartorbital” piercing is the earring trend that’s about to take over Instagram
We love a good piercing. On the ear lobes, the cartilage, the nose, the belly button — you name it, we’re a fan. But this new ear piercing trend is unlike any we’ve seen before. It’s so simple yet so mind-blowing that we’re wondering: How has no one thought of this before?!
Enter: the “heartorbital” piercing. Also dubbed the “heartilage,” this updated take on the traditional cartilage piercing is everything we never knew our earring collection was missing.
Crafted by New York City piercing legend Robbie Milian of West 4 Tattoo, the heartilage ring isn’t nearly as tricky to create as one might think. It’s just a regular cartilage ring minus the bead and with the ends bent inward to form the heart shape. That’s it!
Now, if you’re thinking this is an Instagram trend worthy our favorite, trendsetting stars like Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin, then you’d be reading our minds. They haven’t posted any snapshots with the heartilage yet, but we’re predicting it will soon be the biggest thing since Kendall’s badass nipple piercings.
For the time being, we’ll just have to stalk #heartorbital and #heartilage on Instagram until we can make our way to NYC to get out own heartilage.
