We have heartbreaking news about “Charmed’s” Shannen Doherty

Some bad news for fans of Charmed and Beverly Hills, 90210 —  actress Shannen Doherty’s breast cancer has reportedly spread. Doherty was originally diagnosed in March of 2015, and went through a single mastectomy to try and take control of the issue. But unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of her journey.

“I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes,” Doherty said to Entertainment Tonight.  “So for that reason, we are doing chemo, and then after chemo, I’ll do radiation.”

Doherty has already posted photos online — a brave thing to do for ANYONE in that situation.

Below, Doherty poses with friends Anne Marie Kortright, Chris Cortazzo, and her Mom, Rosa Doherty, who she credits for giving love and support through this tough time. She also made sure to give a shoutout to her husband, Kurt Iswarienko, who she’s been married to since 2011.

She documented the whole head shaving process, and for such grim news, she looks like she’s trying hard to have some fun with the process.

As Doherty admits, (and as you could probably guess) it hasn’t been an uplifting experience — at all. In fact, her full interview with Entertainment Weekly will be airing tonight, and it looks like there are a lot of tears being shed, as she mentions how she doesn’t “look past today,” or know if she’ll ever look like herself again. It looks absolutely heartbreaking.
