HBO just did something BIG and it’s driving “Game of Thrones” fans crazy

And then there were TWO.

ONLY TWO MORE EPISODES LEFT OF SEASON 6 OF GAME OF THRONES! It feels like just yesterday that Jon Snow was brought back to life, huh?

These titles for these episodes — next week’s “The Battle of the Bastards,” and the season finale, “The Winds of Winter,” — have been released, and unfortunately for us, those are the only things that are going to be released. HBO has decided not to release the episode descriptions for either one, leaving us wondering what the heck is going to happen. And also OH NO!!

This is what the Game of Thrones press releases usually look like. This is the one for Sunday’s, “No One”:

And here’s what it looks like for “The Battle of the Bastards” and “The Winds of Winter.” The arrows indicate the LACK of description:

Uh, not cool, HBO.

This season they’ve really stepped up their game to keep Game of Thrones as spoiler free as possible. Before the season even started they announced that they would not be making screener episodes available to the press, as to squash any leaks there. They also only upload only about five or so images from the upcoming episode the HBO media site ahead of time; five more appear after the episode has aired.

And now, this. As we enter into the home stretch, HBO is willing to do whatever it takes to keep the final two episode under wraps. It’s a highly intriguing strategy to get us to watch…and also make us extremely nervous. Do you not remember the Season 5 finale??

JK. Two tiny tiiiiiiiny snippets of description have gotten out, coming from the Emmy ballot that HBO submitted for Game of Thrones. “The Battle of the Bastards” is described as: “Terms of surrender are rejected and accepted.” And like, duh.

As for, “The Winds of Winter,” that description also states the obvious: “Cersei faces her trial.” WE NEED TO KNOW MORE.
