Hayden Panettiere says motherhood has shown her who her real friends are and wow

We’re so grateful for her honesty — Nashville actress Hayden Panettiere says motherhood has shown her who her real friends are.

The 27-year-old actress has been open about her journey through motherhood and postpartum depression since giving birth to her daughter, Kaya, back in December 2014. Now she’s getting real about her journey with her friends in a new interview with Parade magazine.

“I went through a pregnancy and I found out who my true friends were — the ones that were going to stick around and support me,” Panettiere told Parade about getting pregnant while living in Tennessee.

“I’ll just say the outcome was slim pickins!”

Panettiere revealed that her life changed when she had her daughter — with boyfriend boxer, Wladimir Klitschko. The struggle was real, but she’s found the right balance, which is so great to hear.

"My life became all about staying healthy, getting good sleep, finding parks and nature," she explained. "Now I'm the mother of a 2-year-old, I’ve found my pack of solid, loyal, lifelong friends here and am settled into a beautiful routine."

In addition to being a mother, the former Heroes actress is balancing her career, now that CMT has picked up her ABC series Nashville. With those two main areas as her focus, Panettiere doesn’t have much time to focus on recording new music, which she’s done in the past.

"Juggling my workload and being a mom right now is plenty," she told the publication. "I've figured out my own limits over the years, and music is a bridge that I might want to cross when I can truly dedicate myself to it."

Luckily for fans, Panettiere sings on the country music series, so you can still get a little taste of what her solo music would be like.
